Booking conditions for EDF6324 field trip in 2010

Cost of tour (land content only)

Full price $5,200
Discounted price for Monash students $4,700

These prices are based on shared accommodation, departing Melbourne. Supplement for a single room is $550.

Online payment is preferred. You may also pay by cheque or credit card (mail or fax or telephone Amanda Banks on (03) 9904 4231).

Students may apply for a $500 rebate from Monash Abroad. However, the full price of the tour must be paid first.

What the price includes
Rail travel within Europe, airfare Munich to Geneva (and return if you wish), visits to institutes, at least two concerts, taxi transfers where necessary, at least two dinners. Within Europe, most travel will be by train.

What is not included
Airfare to and from Europe, lunches and most dinners, travel insurance (required), museum entrance fees, local city transport, extra tours or sightseeing, spending money, any visas required (none are needed by holders of Australian passports).

Payment schedule

  • 30 October 2009 - $500 deposit. $200 is refundable until this date. After 30 October the deposit cannot be refunded, unless tour is cancelled in which case the full deposit will be returned.
  • 20 November 2009 - Balance. Non-refundable.

Insurance
All participants must take out their own insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident or illness, loss of possessions and public liability. You should take out insurance as sooon as the tour leader has confirmed that we have the numbers to proceed with the tour.

Newsletters

Participants will receive newsletters during the intervening period, with further details, background information and travel advice.

Other conditions

  • Alterations may be made to the published itinerary and arrangements as the organizers deem fit.
  • Monash University reserves the right to cancel the tour (in which case a full refund will be made).
  • Each participant is responsible for obtaining a passport and any necessary visas. Passports must be valid for 6 months from date of return to Australia..
  • Monash University accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from or related to participation in this study tour.
