Guidelines for entry into the MUELBP

The Monash University English Language Bridging Program (MUELBP) can be offered as:

1. A 15 week course if one of the following conditions are met:
   1. An overall IELTS score of 6 with all individual scores of at least 5
   2. An internet-based TOEFL score of 79 with at least 17 on reading, listening and speaking and at least 20 on writing
   3. A paper-based TOEFL score of 550 with a TWE of at least 4.0
   4. A computer-based TOEFL score of 213 with an ER of at least 4.0
2. A 10 week course if one of the following conditions are met:
   1. An overall IELTS score of 6, with at least 6 in writing and all other individual scores of at least 5
   2. An internet-based TOEFL score of 79 with at least 17 on speaking, reading and listening, and at least 22 on writing
   3. A paper-based TOEFL score of 550 with a TWE of at least 4.5
   4. A computer-based TOEFL score of 213 with an ER of at least 4.5

The MUELBP is not offered for postgraduate courses with a practicum.

Notes:

1. All test scores are to be no older than 2 years [or accompanied by evidence of subsequent substantial study in a tertiary institution where courses are taught and assessed in English]
2. Conditional offers will not to be made if the score on tests is more than 1 full point lower than the target score on the IELTS or equivalent TOEFL
