All Faculty of Education staff will be able to access and install the TRIM Context software with appropriate licence to search and locate TRIM base records and documents. (Please note that to be able to upload documents you will need to undergo the appropriate training supplied by RAS and have your Authcate login enabled)
Software Installation
Please but in a jobdesk request if you are unsure or not confident with the following procedure
For Windows based systems

In Windows, go to Start > Run end enter \\Its-fshd-b04\USR\educ\shared\staff\temp\IT\TRIM - then click OK to open the network folder
(Note: Must be done when logged into the Monash network.)
- Select ALL Files in the directory (Control + A)
- Copy your selected files (Control + C)
- Create a new folder on your desktop (Right click your desktop and select New > Folder)
- Name the folder "Trim Software"
- Open the newly created folder (by double clicking it)
- Paste files in to the presented window (Control + V)
- Close and Save all your open programs (Including Internet Explorer)
- Double click the file in your Trim Software Folder named "ERMS Package Setup.bat"
- Your computer will then start installing the required software with required settings (Please note that this can take up to 20 minutes)
- Once it is complete follow the prompts and you are done!
For Macintosh based systems
Currently there is no software install available however provisions are being made to have browser based access to the TRIM environment. When this becomes available we will provide further instructions.
