About the courseThis course aims to meet the needs of the community in the area of adolescent counselling by providing participants with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes required to support and guide young people. Helpers who are engaged as counsellors, confidantes and mentors are not always prepared for the often highly sensitive nature of information they are confronted with when working with adolescents. This course has been designed to introduce basic theory and practical counselling skills that assist helpers to meet the special needs of young people.
