Research Interests

Physical activity and health; physical education teachers' engagement with health-related issues; physical education curriculum and pedagogy; children and young people; community sport and physical activity programs.

Laura's most recent research is drawing upon social ecology in order to understand and promote active transport within a targeted community. The aim being to (re)connect schools with their local community via a multi-layered strategy which combines policy and built environment changes, together with inter- and intra-personal approaches to physical activity promotion.
