Biography

Kate Dempsey is an organisational consultant with extensive supervisory and managerial experience. Kate has successfully operated her own consultancy business, Kate Dempsey & Associates, for 18 years. She offers skills in change management, organisational review, executive coaching, governance, strategic planning, review and evaluation methodologies, interview and questionnaire design, stakeholder consultation, group facilitation and policy development. Prior to her consulting work, she held a number of positions in the public sector and throughout her career, she has been involved in Boards and Committees either appointed or elected to represent constituents.

In addition to her consulting work, Kate teaches Leadership and Managing Change to Masters level students at Monash University. Kates PhD was entitled, Values in Leadership and looked at leadership models in local government. Her published work on leadership, gender in leadership, conflict resolution, and values in business has appeared in The Local Government Manager, Community Quarterly, Profile and The Board Builder.
