Monash School Reviews - Project roles

Project advisory group

The Project Advisory Group provides advice on and monitors the Monash school review process. It makes recommendations to the project director about such matters as effective information distribution and communications strategies and quality assurance.

Membership of the group includes:

  • Ms Anita Forsyth (project director),
  • Associate Professor Len Cairns,
  • Associate Professor Deborah Corrigan,
  • Ms Jenny Brown, and
  • Ms Bronwyn Smith.

The group is convened and coordinated by the project director.

Project director

The project director has oversight of all aspects of the project, and in consultation with the project manager is responsible for ensuring that the operations, schedules, reports and deliverables of the project are implemented within budget and on time. The director coordinates the communication strategy between DEECD and the Monash school review team.

  • There are regular meetings for all members of the Monash review team (see meeting schedule below) to discuss developments in the school review process program and broader accountability framework and to facilitate professional exchange of experiences and information.
  • There are 2 moderation meetings each year (see meeting schedule) in order to review the quality of Review Reports and consider feedback from DEECD.
  • The advisory group meets regularly.
  • A mentoring system is in place.

The Monash School Reviewer team is made up of both internal and external personnel. These are the people who actually perform the school reviews.
