Professional placement stories and experiences

Photo of Bryan Davidson-Blue "My time spent at Lynall Hall was brief but solidified my personal teaching philosophy and the value of education. Education is the strongest weapon, it allows freedom. These students question authority, and rightly so. Once they realised how shared our goals were then I was accepted in to their community and valued each moment."

Andrew Warner, head of campus at Southwood Boys Grammar, states that "the 6 Monash placement students are the best students he has ever seen. He would employ 4 of them immediately if there were vacancies."

Ten Monash students accompanied by Dr Glenn Auld were welcomed Indigenous style when they arrived for a three-week placement experience to Maningrida, a remote Indigenous Australian community in Arnhem Land. The students are an eclectic group drawn from Secondary, Primary and Early childhood courses and are all placed at Maningrida Community Education Centre which provides education from preschool to Year 12.
