EDF3311 - Rural/Remote 3rd Year optional placements for Peninsula and Gippsland primary pre-service teachers

What does the experience involve?

This three week optional placement provides opportunity for students to gain experience in rural or remote schools in East Gippsland. Students will be supported by school communities who will organise accommodation and after school activities in conjunction with Monash and DEECD.

Students will be placed in pairs or small groups in a range of small rural or regional schools. Schools will complete an expression of interest to be involved in this program. Students will then be matched with schools according to their needs and preferences.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this placement opportunity pre-service teachers must be enrolled in EDF3311 Understanding Space and Place at the Peninsula and or Gippsland campuses.

Dates

This is a 3 week placement opportunity which will take place from Monday 19 August – Friday 6 September 2013.

Costs

Students will be assisted with accommodation costs.
